Robert previously served as Head of Strategy and Research at the Kenya Investment Authority, the national agency responsible for promoting and facilitating investment in Kenya.
His work spans investment strategy, research, investment promotion, investor facilitation and investment-climate reform. He has worked with regional and development-sector institutions, and undertakes private consultancy assignments through Africa Rising Investments.
That background shapes how the firm works. Time inside a promotion agency teaches something a purely commercial adviser rarely learns: how public institutions actually make decisions, what they can and cannot do, where an investor’s file genuinely gets stuck, and which of a government’s stated intentions have been operationalised. It is the difference between knowing that an incentive exists and knowing who administers it, on what evidence, and how long it takes.
