What this website collects
Nothing. This website sets no cookies, runs no analytics, embeds no third-party tracking scripts and stores nothing in your browser. Fonts are served from this website rather than from a third-party font service, so no request is made to another company when you load a page.
Standard web server logs may be retained by the hosting provider for security and operational purposes. Those logs are the provider’s and are governed by the provider’s own terms.
What happens when you contact us
The contact routes on this website open an email in your own email application. When you send that email, we receive whatever you have chosen to put in it: typically your name, your organisation, your email address and a description of the matter you want to discuss.
We use that information for one purpose: to respond to you and, if an engagement follows, to carry it out. We do not sell it, rent it, or share it with third parties for marketing. We do not add you to a mailing list unless you ask to be added.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to an engagement are retained for up to 24 months and then deleted. Records relating to an actual engagement are retained for as long as the professional and legal requirements applicable to that engagement require, and then deleted.
Your rights
Under the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019 you have the right to be informed of the use of your personal data, to access it, to have inaccurate data corrected, to object to its processing, and to request its deletion. To exercise any of these rights, write to africa@africa.or.ke and we will respond within the period the Act requires.
If you believe your data has been mishandled you may complain to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner in Kenya.

Changes to this notice
If this notice changes materially, for example when an enquiry form or analytics is introduced, the change will be reflected here and dated.
